Put Art Everywhere exists to make that claim undeniable — with a critical mass of art spread through the parts of the city people actually walk through every day.
Put Art Everywhere puts art everywhere — big pieces and small ones, iconic murals and quiet surprises tucked into the in-between spaces of the city. The goal is a critical mass of art spread across Cincinnati, until finding it unexpectedly becomes part of what the city feels like — the way it does in the great art cities of the world, where you can turn a corner and simply run into something great.
A blank wall, a gap between buildings, a stretch of alley — these are the spaces we love most. They're full of quiet potential, ready for the right piece to turn them into something people seek out and remember. Some of our projects are large and ambitious. Many are small, precise, and built for the exact space they occupy — art that rewards the person who happens to look up, turn the corner, or wander a block off the main path.
Known, sought-out, and mapped for anyone who wants to go find them. Our goal is a critical mass of installations across the urban core and surrounding neighborhoods — on the order of 50 — enough to genuinely change how the city feels to move through. Small, precise pieces are our focus, and we're just as glad to take on a landmark-scale wall when the right opportunity comes along.

A core part of our model is inviting nationally and internationally recognized artists — names known well beyond Ohio — to create work in Cincinnati. Every visiting artist is paired with a local Cincinnati artist as a collaborator: a relationship that gives local artists direct mentorship and exposure, gives visiting artists a partner who understands the city and its spaces, and steadily builds Cincinnati's own creative community with every project completed. Visiting artists also host a workshop or public event during their visit, extending the benefit of their trip beyond the artwork itself.
We invite nationally and internationally recognized artists to create work in Cincinnati.
Direct mentorship and exposure, and a partner who knows the city and its spaces.
Every visit includes a workshop or public event, open to the whole community.
Our model is built for efficiency and speed. We keep projects agile: supplies and prep work are secured before the artist ever arrives, and a visit is built around getting the artist in, painting, and celebrated. That agility is what lets us think at scale — more of every dollar goes directly into artist commissions and materials, and the city gets more art for it.
Prep work before paint ever touches the wall — part of keeping every project lean.
As pieces go up, we document and map every one — locations made available online, so residents and visitors alike can seek them out, plan a route, and discover pieces they didn't know existed. The map becomes a growing collection: a reason to explore a neighborhood, a tool for tourism, and a record of the city's investment in its own creativity.
Each project is captured with professional photo and video content, made for artists to share directly with their own audiences — often reaching people who've never had a reason to think about Cincinnati before. When a globally recognized artist shares that they're creating in Cincinnati, that's authentic, high-reach storytelling. Over time, this builds a reputation: Cincinnati as a city serious about public art, generous to the artists who make it, and full of things worth discovering.
Our operating model is designed to support dozens of projects across the city, because reach is the whole point.
A lean production process means more of every dollar goes directly into artist commissions and materials.
Every visiting-artist project pairs with a local artist and a public workshop, creating mentorship and paid opportunities within Cincinnati's own creative community.
Every piece adds to a public collection that supports tourism, neighborhood exploration, and civic pride.
Professional documentation and artist-driven sharing extend Cincinnati's reach well beyond the region.
Public art belongs in the quiet, forgotten, and surprising places that shape how people actually experience their city.
Put Art Everywhere beautifies Cincinnati by commissioning art — big and small — in the city's in-between spaces, pairing visiting artists with local artists to build community, and working lean so art can appear at real scale across the city.
